we're prepping to start competitive play, although some of the rules are a bit much in my opinion...

"Shotgun Restriction:

All automatic shotguns (M1014, AA-12, Striker) including the double-barrel Ranger are not allowed in competition play. Any player caught using a prohibited shotgun will forfeit the match for their team.

The only shotguns allowed for competition play are:

SPAS-12
Model 1887

Riot Shields:

There will be only (1) riot shield per team which also includes if a player picks up a riot shield off the ground. Any team caught using more than 1 riot shield will automatically forfeit the match and other penalties could be applied. Captains make your players aware of this.

Launchers:

Launchers at this time will not be allowed. Any player caught using a launcher will forfeit the match for their team.

Stun Grenades:

Stun grenades at this time are no longer allowed. Any player caught using them will forfeit the match for their team.

Pre-Match/Hosting Stability:

Once both teams are in the lobby and ready to go the hoster will start the pre-match (sameway as you would start a regular match). Players join their appropriate sides and for 5 minutes see how good/stable/bad their connection is to the hoster. For the hoster to be deemed ineligible, there has to be serious issues with the hoster's connection however we all know that IWNET/p2p does produce lag for some but that doesn't necessarily mean that the hoster is automatically disqualified. For example, if everyone is experiencing severe lag issues, connection issues, or the majority of players have 2 bars or less than those could be grounds to try a new host. If a team only posts 1 hoster and that hoster has hosting issues then hosting dutings would fall onto the opposing team as long as they posted their info per TWL rules.

Once everything has been checked out and their are no issues then all players will jump back into the lobby and the hoster will restart the match.

Each specific gametype has detailed information on hosting matches in reference to maps, halves, or rounds"
