This is a list of the Craftbook Cauldron recipes that I wrote for Kainzo that have been implemented, will add to this list as Kainzo adds more of them.

#to make grass blocks, you need 3 dirt and 2 saplings, and you get 2 grass blocks. this is a default cauldron recipe that is always there.

#to make leaf blocks, you need 3 grass, and 3 saplings, and you get 5
leaf blocks.

#to make clay blocks, you need 3 dirt, 3 sand, and 1 iron block, and
you get 5 clay blocks.

#to make pumpkins, you need 3 grass, 1 sapling, 1 red mushroom, and 1
brown mushroom, and you get 2 pumpkins.

#to make mossy cobblestone, you need 4 cobblestone, and 4 grass, and you get 2 mossy cobblestone.

#to make Ice, you need 4 snow blocks, and 4 water source blocks, and
you get 5 ice blocks.

#to make Seeds, you need 4 grass blocks, and 4 saplings, and you get 10 Seeds.

#Fast Smelt recipes will require 5 of a smeltable material plus 1 lava
block, and will give 5 of the smelted material. Basically spending a
lava block to instantly smelt 5 blocks.

#available fastsmelts are:
5 cobble+1 lava = 5 smoothstone
5 iron ore+ 1 lava = 5 iron bars
5 gold ore+ 1 lava = 5 gold bars
5 clay BLOCKS + 1 lava = 5 brick BLOCKS

#fastglass is an exception to the fastsmelt rule, it takes 4 torches
and 4 sand for 4 glass, the 4 torches have to be on the bottom layer,
and are used to hold up the sand blocks so they don't fall into the
cauldron's lava. This will give you 4 glass blocks.

This is in the game at the moment?

How does one make a cauldron... can you edit your above post to incorporate more of the basics regarding this?

Here's a link to a pretty good guide on how to use what CraftBook offers, including cauldrons.

Ok so I followed the link and have been reading:

I know we have lifts and gates... do we have bridges too?

edit*: also when using the cauldron, does one right click to place the block onto the smooth stone portions? or does one right click to place it onto the lava portions?

OR

do you just drop the items into the lava as you would a garbage disposal?

Put the dirt above the lava, then put whatever else on top of them.

Muscle, to build a cauldron is quite easy. You need 16 smooth stone and 4 lava (use a bucket). Follow this...

Code: Select all

[ ] - anything
[-] - air
[s] - smooth stone
[x] - lava

Bottom layer

[ ][ ][ ][ ]
[ ][x][x][ ]
[ ][x][x][ ]
[ ][ ][ ][ ]

Second and third layers
[ ][s][s][ ]
[s][-][-][s]
[s][-][-][s]
[ ][s][s][ ]
The air blocks are where you place materials inside the cauldron. You do NOT throw items into it, for they will simply get fried.

Stand on the top of the cauldron, looking down into the lava. (You might want to hold shift so you don't fall in!) Place the dirt/grass blocks on the second layer by attaching them to the smooth stone above the lava. Place other items needed on top of these blocks (third layer).

Once all items are placed, use your hand or a tool and click one of the blocks placed inside. You will get a confirmation message, the items will disappear, and the newly crafted item will appear in your inventory.

If you want to look, I have built a cauldron inside Vesuvius. Feel free to take a look, but you will not be able to use it since I have the entire city protected.

Also, to answer your question about the [Bridge] , it is not avaliable to all members of HeroCraft. To use a [Bridge], I believe you must be a Tier 4 Donator ($40) or a staff member for DH (Such as a Moderator or Admin).
Correct me if I'm wrong about the Tier, it may not be 4.

Can't get leaf recipe to work. Do the squares over the edges of the cauldron count? Or just the inside squares?

also make sure you're using grass blocks not dirt blocks to make leafs

OK Dagoth,

You mentioned being in charge of adding new recipes (at least that was my understanding)

So I'm wondering if we can get snow blocks? I think that would be a good addition as well as ice blocks perhaps?

Anyways... I'll be looking forward to your response, thannks,

I think a snow block recipe is kinda pointless... but a snow covered dirt and ice block recipe would be awesome :)
