Township System!

The township must have either the Mayor or Second in Command(s) update their Township thread on DH forums as to the status of the town ONCE a week.

If a township fails to do so, it will be considered inactive by staff and torn down. If you want to keep your town - please update it. Starting from this moment forward - the week begins now.

Townships must stay within their town limits - it's okay to go 'a few blocks' over but nothing drastic.

Mayors do not have permission to steal items from citizens. If you don't want someone there - tell them to leave or contact staff to escort them out.

Please note that all signatures on the application must not be in a town already. These will be cross checked, if your town is found having signatures that are currently residing in another town, we will not allow the township to be made.

The citizens MAY have a house in other towns but they cannot claim it as their 'home'.

Admins/Mods do not count towards township.

[Town name][Size] (Post this as the title)
Town Name:
Mayor:
Second in Commands:
Location of Town:
Charter Signatures:
Rules:

Post the above application in its own thread in the Public MC discussion - it will be moved to the private discussion and you will be allowed entrance.

With the release of a newly generated map - we will have size limitations. (which can be increased later). Due to this, we have chosen to limit the size of player towns. Each town will have a set number of blocks to do what it wants with (reaching almost to the sky) - The town tiers will be purchased with coin, how the mayor gets the coin for the town is up to the mayor of the town - if he wants to flip the bill themselves and charge per lot or round up 5 players without a town and have them cover the costs of the town fee, they can. The town levels will adhere to the application method for creating an official town. Each level will need more signatures in order to upgrade to the next level. These may change at a later time, the first level will require 5 signatures and go up from there, however.

In addition to the charter application found here, here, the following must understood.

Players not in the towns must stay 100 blocks away from the town area. Players that want to "settle" in the wasteland and not in a town will be allowed to claim a small area (no where near the size of a town+) and do whatever they please with it. However, they must adhere to the rule of not building within 100 blocks of any official/beginning town. If they are in the way of town expansion - the town will trump the player and encompass their settlement into the town.

A single point will be chosen by the Mayor/Town and then a circular area will be made to represent the area of the new settlement. Some of these may have a little variation in them if the town wants to be themed around a certain area - however it would only be a few blocks not massive amounts.

Before a town can be officially created, it must be passed through the admins/Kainzo
You can no longer JUMP to the size you want. When you start you must first go to town, get the signatures and then when you have enough coin and signatures you may pay the next amount for Town (1500) - the payments ARE NOT cumulative. This is not a "quick" system so it should take a little while to upgrade to the next level.

Township System!

Town (+1500 coins)= 75 block radius (10 signatures) (Grants mayor abilities)
City (+5000 coins)= 100 block radius (20 signatures)
Capital (+7500 coins)= 125 block radius (30 signatures)
Kingdom (+15000 Coins) = 150 block radius (50 signatures)
Empire (????? Coins)=250-300 block radius (200 signatures)

Also something to note: Do not ASSUME anyone living in your town who isn't a citizen of anyone else's town will want to be one of yours and "sign" their name for them.

Becoming a citizen of a town takes your future choice of town away, so make sure you ASK each individual person if they are willing to sign the charter, and explain what happens if they do.

I have updated this application to have "second in command" if you are to be away - the SIC will be the acting mayor.
